Our Favorite Installations of 2015
As the end of the year approaches, we look back at our favorite installations of the year. These installations are shared with our reps; many make it to our website; some are featured in print. If you would like us to promote your installation for SoundTube, Soundsphere, Rockustics or SolidDrive, drop us a line! We love helping you get publicity for your work. Here are four of our favorites from 2015:
Tucsan Kitchen, Burlington MA
Integrator JDSCC of Pellham, New Hampshire, installed SoundTube RS600i and CM600i units in this restaurant that offers a market and take-out counter along with upscale dining space.
Kang Ho Gong Baekjong, New York City
Zagat named this restaurant, which opened in December 2014, one of “New York City’s 16 Hottest New Restaurants.” Thanks to SoundTube dealer Canal Sound & Light, it has great sound to match their exceptional Korean food. Jeffrey Kwan from Canal Sound & Light sent us these photos. “We knew the speaker that we would choose needed to be a pendant with wide dispersion (for ample coverage) and sound good,” said Jeffrey. “The owners of the Kang Ho Dong Baekjong also have a nightclub and were blown away by the sound quality. They said this must be the best sound system in a restaurant!” Canal Sound & Light installed 29 RS-400i-BK and 4 RS1001i-II-T-BK subs.
Wegman’s Food Stores, Various Locations
The retail industry is SoundTube’s top market in the USA. Wegman’s is the highest ranked grocery store chain on Fortune Magazine’s “Bests Places to Work in the US”, with an overall ranking of #12 in 2014. We’re happy to report that Wegman’s stores use SoundTube exclusively for their speakers. Each store’s system is laid out by our Technical Sales Engineer Bryan Keeler using the Ease modeling program. About 100 RSi and CMi products are used in each store.
SoundTube is also used in many other grocery store chains across the USA including Hy-Vee, HEB, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and some Publix stores.
Pike’s Peak Hill Climb Experience, Colorado Springs
This installation was featured as a cover story in Sound & Communications magazine this fall. The Hill Climb Experience, part of the Broadmoor museum complex, commemorates the annual event where racers try to get to the top of the 14,115’ mountain as fast as possible over a 19 mile course with steep climbs and hairpin curves. Integrator Houlton AV outfitted the entire space with MSE Audio products. SoundTube SM590i’s are placed in three zones on the upper walls and carry the sounds of race cars speeding by. In the “crash pit”, where a wrecked race car is displayed, a SoundTube SM31-EZ hidden in the car plays the soundtrack of a video describing the wreck while a Rockustics PunkSub at the bottom of the pit provides impressive rumble. In the adjacent El Pomar Heritage Museum (with a collection of carriages and classic Hill Climb vehicles), SoundTube SM500i, SM590i and FP6020-II units are employed.
Best wishes for 2015. We appreciate your business with us!
